Biography: 
Dr. Sezali Mohd Darit
is a Senior Lecturer in Geography at the Centre for Policy Research and International Studies (CenPRIS), Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM). Dr. Sezali earned his Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Geography from Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM) after receiving his Bachelor of Science (BSc.) in Mathematics with Honours and Master of Science (MSc.) in Information Technology (IT) from USM. He is the recipient of Academic Staff Higher Education Scheme (ASHES) by USM to pursue his Ph.D. study in the field of Geography.  

Retrospectively, Dr. Sezali served USM as Statistician from 1985 – 2012. Then, he has been appointed as a Senior Lecturer in CenPRIS, USM to continue his teaching as well as research journey. His expertise and research interests include political geography, especially on electoral delimitation regarding gerrymandering, electoral roll, population demography as well as Geographic Information Systems (GIS).
